Project Management and Results-Based Monitoring

In this training, project management – its basic concepts and principles, and tools and methods will be applied to real work environment. Participants will be working on activities and a major project to apply the techniques learned in planning, organizing and managing resources and activities in a project. It will also cover all the tasks and metrics necessary to ensure that the approved and authorized project is within scope, on time, and on budget so that the project proceeds with minimal risk. This process involves comparing actual performance with planned performance and taking corrective action to yield the desired outcome when significant differences exist. It will help participants steer work process towards clearly defined goals, increase program impact, and improve the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of projects and teams both small and large. Through stimulating and interactive participation and analysis of their own data, participants learn a set of tools which they can apply on a continuing basis in their own organizational setting and arrangements.
