Project financing has increasingly emerged as the preferred alternative to conventional methods of financing large-scale, capital-intensive projects, from pipelines and refineries to power-generating facilities, hydroelectric projects and many others. This program aims to train project managers with the critical skills and knowledge required to effectively manage resource costs connected to their projects while delivering quality outcomes on time.This training aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of project financing, its intricacies and benefits as well as the challenges project proponents routinely face. It aims to help participants structure appropriate financing schemes for selected projects, including features intended to mitigate perceived risks as identifying sources of special financing programs offered by funding institutions can be tapped as part of the financing package. Additionally, it aims to provide management accounting concepts and techniques to analyze how projects make use of resources, create value for a firm and its customers, and how this value may be enhanced.
